Activities
Kitesurfing and water sports, visits to vineyards, gastronomic discoveries, activities for children – there’s something for absolutely every taste when it comes to enjoying a stay in Torreilles.
Kitesurf and water sports
The Leucate region is undoubtedly the most famous kitesurfing area in France. A firm favourite with kite and windsurf enthusiasts, it hosts international competitions such as the Mondial du Vent every year. But it's also a great place to learn, with beginner-friendly spots just a few minutes from Wine and Kite. Don't hesitate to contact us to arrange lessons with our partner schools. Here are some of our favourite spots....
Saint Laurent de la Salanque seaplane base
Just a 10-minute drive away, it's an ideal spot for beginners, but will also delight the more experienced.
The mouth of the Agly at Torreilles
At the northern end of the beach at Torreilles, experienced kitesurfers gather here to sail on the sea or river, in sea or thermal winds.
Parc des Dosses
The world's best riders gather here in April for the Lords of Tram. But this natural site also boasts a small water park for children, as well as a huge wake park for when the wind isn't blowing.
Leucate la Franqui
This is the site that hosts the Mondial du Vent every year. In an exceptional setting, at the foot of the Leucate cliffs, experienced kitesurfers will find a fabulous playground.
Chez Wesh
Located in Leucate, on a secure spot, it's a kitesurfing spot, a place to learn windsurfing and a place to relax with a restaurant and skateboard ramp. Perfect for a day of sport and relaxation, with something for everyone.
Canoe on the Bourdigou
There's more to life than kitesurfing, a more family-friendly activity: canoe or paddle down the Bourdigou to the sea from the village of Torreilles. A 4-hour trip will give you enough time to reach the beach and have lunch at Maya or Zaza, 2 top beach restaurants in Torreilles.
Vineyards
Make the most of your stay in Torreilles to discover the wines of the Languedoc. Although less prestigious than their Bordeaux and Burgundy cousins, these wines have nothing to envy them, and offer unbeatable value for money. Here are some of our favourite estates, set in exceptional locations. On request, we can organise private visits to certain estates.
Domaine Pagnon
Just 300 metres from Wine and Kite, this family-run estate will introduce you to its finest vintages on a guided tour of the vineyards.
Domaine de la Vigne Barbé
Just 10 minutes from Torreilles, you can take the train through the vineyards before tasting these excellent wines, all organically grown.
Domaine Lafage
Just 10 minutes from Torreilles, this 2-century-old estate produces exceptional wines from terroirs scattered between the sea and the mountains.

Just 10 minutes from Torreilles, discover this place steeped in history, and take the opportunity to taste their top-quality wines, served in restaurants along the coast.
Château l'Esparrou
Just 10 minutes from Torreilles, on the banks of the Etang de Canet, the château organises tours, concerts and food truck evenings. An ideal place to watch the pink flamingos, taste some surprising wines and enjoy a fine summer evening.
